Burnthwaite Hall, Bolton
This scheme consists of five new-build detached, individual luxury dwellings forming an exclusive secured residential community on a 6 hectare neglected woodland site, formerly occupied by a Children's Home, near Bolton.
It was paramount that the woodland character and the mature trees of this beautiful site were retained. The Planning Authority stipulated that the proposed dwellings had to be located in the centre of the site, in the vicinity of the demolished Children's Home. The proposed dwellings therefore, had to be sensitively designed and integrated amongst the existing landscape not only to allow privacy between properties but to also maintain the qualities of the woodland setting for future generations to enjoy.
